The number of customers flying with the airline during the month rose 58.4% to 4,180,310 compared to December 2021. The load factor, which measures the number of available seats filled by paying passengers, also increased by 9.1 percentage points to 84.5%.
Wizz Air Continues Expansion With New Routes and Higher Frequencies
Over the past year, passenger levels for Wizz Air grew 110.2% to 45,661,915, with a load factor of 86.7%. In December, the company opened new routes from Italy to Saudi Arabia and announced further expansion at bases across Europe. All the additional aircraft will operate new routes and higher frequencies beginning this year.
