The spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that NATO countries are becoming increasingly involved but that supplying arms to Ukraine will not change the course of events.

Kyiv's Demand for Western Arms

Peskov called the situation a "dead-end" and criticized the West for encouraging Ukraine's demands for weapons. Despite the West's professed readiness to provide such arms, Peskov emphasized that it would not change the outcome of the conflict.

NATO Countries Directly Involved in Conflict

The spokesman also emphasized that NATO countries are becoming more directly involved in the conflict, but the provision of arms will not alter the course of events. He made these comments in response to Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk's request for Germany to send a submarine to Kyiv.

Germany and US Supply Main Battle Tanks to Ukraine

Last week, Germany and the United States announced their commitment to supply main battle tanks to Ukraine. This marks the first time offensive weapons have been unambiguously pledged to assist Ukraine in resisting Russian forces.
