Twitter's Attempt to Thwart Data Scraping

In a move to combat "extreme levels" of data scraping and system manipulation, Twitter has instituted temporary reading limits, according to a recent post by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on the social media platform.

Reading Limits Vary Based on Account Verification

Musk revealed that verified accounts now have a daily reading cap set at 6,000 posts. Meanwhile, he added, limits are more stringent for unverified and newly registered unverified accounts.

Unverified Accounts Face Stricter Limits

Unverified accounts will be able to read up to 600 posts daily. For new unverified accounts, the limit is set even lower, at 300 posts per day, according to Musk's announcement.
