Russian Ruble Hits 8-Month Low Against Euro

The Russian Rouble has reached an eight-month low against the dollar due to concerns that sanctions on Russian oil and gas exports may impact the country's revenue.

As of 6:54 a.m. GMT on Thursday, the Ruble was 0.6% weaker against the dollar at 72.60, with a low of 72.6775, its most vulnerable point since April 28.

In addition to its weakening against the dollar, the Ruble also saw a loss of 0.7% against the euro, trading at 76.93, and a decline of 0.6% against the yuan, with a rate of 10.31. These declines indicate that the Russian currency is experiencing strain due to various economic factors.
