PUNCH Torino will have access to Renault's current and future 4-cylinder diesel engines, which will be manufactured at Renault's Cleon plant in Normandy.

Geely Joint Venture and Electric Vehicle Spin-Off

This partnership on diesel engines comes as Renault is undergoing a major restructuring of its businesses, including a joint venture with China's Geely for gasoline engines and hybrid technology and spinning off its electric vehicle unit this year. Renault's engineering teams will continue to develop low-emission diesel engines for light commercial vehicles and collaborate with PUNCH engineering.

Renault's Alliance with Nissan

In addition to this new partnership, Renault is also trying to strengthen its alliance with Nissan Motor by convincing its Japanese partner to invest in its new electric vehicle business.
