LNG Cargo from Freeport, US, to Arrive in Germany

The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from the Freeport facility in the United States is en route to Europe. It will be unloaded in Germany's Wilhelmshaven terminal, according to Refinitiv Eikon data.

As per the data, the tanker LNG ROSENROT is expected to arrive at the Wilhelmshaven terminal on March 3.

Change of Destination

The cargo on a term charter with Uniper was initially destined for Spain but was diverted mid-Atlantic to Germany, according to Refinitiv LNG analyst Olumide Ajayi.

Resumption of Operations at Freeport

Freeport recently restarted loading operations to free up space in preparation for the upcoming start of commercial operations.
