Israel Stock Market Reports Gains on Monday

Israel stocks ended higher on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Technology, and Communication sectors propelled shares upward.

The TA 35 index rose 0.12% at the close in Tel Aviv.

The top performers of the day on the TA 35 were Big Shopping Centers, Shapir Engineering Industry, and Strauss Group, which rose 2.63%, 2.27%, and 2.25% respectively. On the other hand, Delek Group, Israel Discount Bank, and OPC Energy were the worst performers, falling 1.85%, 1.53%, and 1.20% respectively.

Out of the 593 stocks traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, 338 fell while 155 advanced and 24 remained unchanged.

Oil and Gold Prices Update

In other news, crude oil for February delivery increased by 2.40% to $79.35 per barrel. Brent oil for March delivery remained unchanged at $84.50 per barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% to $1,806.00 per troy ounce.

The USD/ILS exchange rate was unchanged at 3.50, while the EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.72. The US Dollar Index Futures decreased 0.08% to 104.04.
