The investment giant, which has $4.5 trillion in assets under management, may also launch an NFT marketplace for "buyers and sellers of digital media, namely, non-fungible tokens featuring textual and graphic content."

In addition, the company plans to offer crypto wallet and trading services, including digital currency, virtual currency, cryptocurrency digital token, crypto token, and utility token trading services, as well as facilitating crypto trading through a financial exchange for the trading of digital and blockchain assets.

Fidelity Crypto App to Allow Trading of Bitcoin and Ethereum Without Commission Fees

Fidelity Investments is set to offer early access to its crypto product, Fidelity Crypto, which will allow trading Bitcoin and Ethereum without commission fees.

This move follows the company's announcement in April of this year to offer workers the chance to invest in Bitcoin in its 401(k) retirement plans, making it the first significant investment fund to do so. The announcement has been met with criticism from industry players and regulators, particularly after the FTX crypto exchange imploded in October of this year.

Fidelity's Plans for Metaverse and Crypto Services Remain Unclear

While Fidelity Investments has submitted three trademark applications to the United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) showing its intention to offer a range of services in the metaverse and other virtual worlds, it is unclear what specific services the company plans to offer or when it will start offering them.

It should also be noted that filing a trademark application does not necessarily mean a company will launch the products or services mentioned in the application.
