Christine McCarthy to Vacate Disney CFO Role
In a sudden turn of events, Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) announced this Thursday that their Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Christine McCarthy, has decided to relinquish her role.
Interim CFO Announced by Disney
Disney has promptly responded to McCarthy's decision by naming Kevin Lansberry, the current Executive Vice President of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, as the interim CFO. This change in financial leadership will take effect from the start of July.
Christine McCarthy's Continued Involvement
Although stepping away from her CFO role, McCarthy will not be entirely severing her ties with Disney. She has chosen to take a family medical leave of absence but will remain involved with the company as a strategic advisor. In this capacity, she will assist in ensuring a smooth and successful transition.
