Crude & Petroleum Demand Rises in Nov

In November, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported an increase in demand for U.S. crude and petroleum products. The demand rose 178,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 20.59 million bpd, the highest since August.

Gasoline Demand Rises to Highs

In November, the demand for finished motor gasoline also rose 21,000 bpd to 8.85 million bpd. This is also its highest level since November.

Crude Oil Production Falls in November

However, the monthly crude oil field production fell in November to 12.38 million bpd, down from 12.41 million bpd in October. Among top oil-producing states, Texas showed the lowest output since August, while North Dakota and New Mexico also saw a dip.

Record Gas Production in U.S. Lower 48

Gross natural gas production in the U.S. Lower 48 states rose 0.2 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) to a record 112.2 bcfd in November. Top gas-producing states showed a decline in production, with Texas and Pennsylvania falling 0.3% and 0.6%, respectively.
