China Aids Russia's Military Efforts

According to customs records, Chinese state-owned companies have been providing Russia with navigation equipment, jamming technology, and fighter-jet parts. Most dual-use equipment (for civilian and military purposes) appears to come from China.

China Bypasses Sanctions

Russia continues to import much-needed technology such as chips, infrared cameras, and radar equipment from China and other countries that have yet to join the US-led efforts to cut off Russia from global markets. These efforts are bypassed through countries such as Turkey and the UAE.

US Expresses Concerns

The US State Department has expressed concerns about China's support for Russia in its invasion of Ukraine. In a statement to CNN, the spokesperson said that China's alignment with Russia goes against their claims of being neutral and that those who side with Moscow in this war will "inevitably find themselves on the wrong side of history."

China-Russia Political Cooperation

The leaders of China and Russia, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, recently held a phone call in which Xi told Putin that China is ready to "increase political cooperation" with Russia. Additionally, the naval forces of China and Russia engaged in joint military drills in the East China Sea, showcasing the deepening defense ties between the two countries.
